All enquiries are received with serious interest and all work is quoted irrespective of the condition of a customer's piano or potential problems with the work requested. Courtesy inspection visits are offered when it is necessary to review the work requested by a prospective customer and work is never declined when a viable solution can be offered, All tuning and repair work is quoted upon receipt of the initial enquiry and reconfirmed upon arrival prior to commencing work, if from a visual inspection further work is deemed necessary.

PIANO RESTORATION
Richard Lewis Piano Tuning & Keyboard Repair is committed to quality, preparation with materials, parts and always taking the time necessary to restore instruments correctly to the original manufacturer's specifications where ever possible. Restoration work is normally done in situ on the customer's premises, with protective cover sheets at the piano, this affords the advantage for customers to better understand and see the work in progress.
PIANO TUNING
Pianos will always be tuned at Concert Pitch A440 where possible. If the pitch of the piano is too low to tune at A440, a pitch raise may be necessary prior to tuning at A440 , there is an additional cost for raising the pitch. It is sometimes necessary during tuning to take corrective action if some tuning pins are found to be slipping after adjustment.
PIANO REPAIR
A comprehensive selection of replacement parts, strings and small action parts are carried for all piano tuning and repair visits and most work can be done on one visit. Digital keyboard repairs sometimes require liaison with the original manufacturer's support centre and there is usually a lead time on replacement spare parts.
